The new Augusta County Courthouse, under construction next to the Augusta County Government Center in Verona, Virginia. This new courthouse will replace a courthouse in downtown Staunton that has served the county since 1901, the fifth in a series of court facilities on that site dating back to 1755. The courthouse was moved to Verona in order to place the courts in closer proximity to other county offices, and also allow adequate space for future expansion.
