Demolition of the former Marina-style Safeway grocery store in at 11201 Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, Maryland in preparation for redevelopment of the property. This store closed in December 2009, and was replaced by a high-rise apartment building with a new, much larger Safeway store at street level. The new store opened in October 2013.
