Funny story behind this photo. While I was photographing downtown, the drunks had started to get on my nerves really quickly. You wouldn’t believe how many people wanted to get their picture taken with the DSLR once they had a few drinks inside of them. Since I was doing night photography with the intention of stacking exposures later on, I couldn’t change the camera’s position between shots, or else it would mess up what I was trying to do. My normal offer was that I would photograph them with the phone, since my real camera was set for a series of shots, and I couldn’t move it without messing up what I was trying to do. In other words, I’ll gladly take your photo in order to keep you moving along, but I’m also not going to compromise my mission for it. Few people took me up on that phone photo offer, but these two did take me up on it. I was surprised about the pose that they struck for me, but I suppose that's what enough booze will do for you. I offered to tag them on Instagram afterward, but the woman said that the pose was their gift to me and they walked off. Okay, then.
