The remains of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, approximately nine months after the MV Dali experienced a mechanical malfunction and subsequently collided with one of the bridge's support piers in the early morning of March 26, 2024, causing the complete collapse of the bridge's center truss section.
This view shows one of two piers that supported the bridge's center truss section. This pier was not the one that was struck by the Dali, and acted as something of a fulcrum point during the collapse.
