PIDS screen on the inbound side of the Wheaton Metro station in Montgomery County, Maryland. The sign only displays information for a single train, a Red Line train going to Grosvenor, that is two minutes away. This photo was taken during the time when PIDS was only able to display active trains and was not yet capable of displaying scheduled trains. Thus at stations near the beginning of the lines, there would often be only one train on the PIDS because that was all that the system could detect.
