Handwritten sign at the GameStop location at Pentagon City Mall in Arlington, Virginia stating that patrons under 18 must be escorted by an adult when visiting the store. I find these sorts of signs to be very customer-unfriendly, and a good way to alienate your customer base as they're developing their shopping and spending habits. This also hits home for me a bit, as I purchased a Sega Nomad at this store when I was 17, back in November 1998 (the store was called Electronics Boutique at that time), with no adult escort. I would have been blocked from making that pretty decent-sized purchase if this policy had been in effect back then.
