Ben Schumin is a professional photographer who captures the intricacies of daily life.

The remains of a fire alarm pull station on the south side of The Inn at Afton, a now-abandoned motel at Rockfish Gap in Augusta County, Virginia. The property was built in 1968, and operated as a Holiday Inn through the mid 1990s before going independent and taking its final name. After a long period of decline, the motel finally ceased operation in the late 2010s.
